I believe in establishing a trusting, caring relationship and being part of my clients’ long term health care team. I have been working in the field of self-care and personal growth for the past 25 years. I’m a life-long learner. I am grateful for the trust that clients place in me and treat that bond with respect.
My background in psychology, psychoanalytic taught, yoga and meditation inform a philosophical backdrop to my work. My Bachelor of Science, Massage Therapy and Ayurveda training fulfill my curiosity for technical and scientific inquiry. I work with clients that simply want a thorough, technical approach to fix an injury. I also work with clients exploring trauma, stress, and mental health issues such as bi-polar, anxiety, depression, body image issues.
Massage Therapy, touch and Movement classes create a space to explore the journey of embodiment. How does our body tell the story of our life? How does it hold our history, express our thoughts, emotions, pains and joys? How can we improve our relationship with it? How can we stay active, joyous, and dare i say… pain free?

Description of services

Registered Massage Therapy:
Therapeutic oil massage for a range of conditions and concerns.

I have been practicing for a long time and have acquired many techniques. Like all curious students I have developed a body of work of my own. I look at the person as a whole : the interdependence of parts and all that connects them. I love anatomy and precision but i also work silently and intuitively.

Sessions are hands on and usually involve oil, some passive joint movement or stretches (i stretch you), some myofascial work and some homework for you to do (you do you). Everything is individualized - what techniques you prefer,  the amount of Pressure (can be deep or subtle). the frequency of treatments, the exercises to improve -  is all part of a personal treatment plan.
Clients are requested to book 90 minutes for their initial appointment to allow time for health history intake and assessment. Subsequent sessions can be 60, 75 or 90 minutes.
Injuries (sprains, strains, tears, surgeries, whiplash, etc)
Back pain
Postural health
Scar reduction

Breast Massage & Post Surgical Scar Reduction:
Specialized post-operative massage can help with most surgeries by minimizing scar adhesions, restoring range of motion, reducing swelling and improving circulation. Timely massage can reduce pain and speed up  recovery.
Post-operative Breast Massage can improve lymph drainage, minimize scars, restore range of arm and shoulder movement and reduce pain. Most importantly it can allow women to release the trauma of surgery and body image issues. It is a safe space to recover and acquaint yourself with your body.

Craniosacral Therapy:
Craniosacral therapy balances the nervous system and is probably the most effective method for dealing with stress, anxiety, mental health and sleep problems. It helps with migraines, post-concussion, whiplash, and jaw pain.
It is gentle and light and therefore a great modality for chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and pain syndromes that might not respond well to heavy touch or drag on the tissues.
Still-point - is one of highlights of the craniosacral therapy. It is the balance of flow of cerebrospinal fluid that takes you into stillness akin to deep meditation. The mind rests. The body heals.
This method can be done fully clothed. It can be a complete treatment itself or incorporated as part of other massage therapy techniques.

Private & Group Classes:
ELDOA Method - For back care and pain relief techniques.

Eclectic Stretch - A combination of exercise modalities from remedial therapeutic exercise, ball and theraband, snippets of pilate’s, Feldenkrais and yoga.

Private Sessions are available to help you with specific individual needs to help you on the road to recovery.
